Stories of Jesus for the Modern Family was created in 2020. Like all of us, I had no idea COVID was coming but I began and finished the project that year as an encouragement to many. Jesus is not just undefeated but he’s undefeatable. And he offers that all his faithful followers.
This project walks through the Book of Mark in storytelling fashion, not reading the text word for word but sticking to the text in telling the story in the oral tradition, like the way the stories would have spread before Mark would have penned it down. Along with the Stories, I offer a “Side B,” which is commentary on insights from the story and how it applies to us. Hundreds of study questions are also included for personal reflection and family or group discussion. This would be a perfect Bible Study curriculum for your small group.
